have seen in the past few weeks that some people are like these grasses: soft and graceful when viewed from afar but get close and you find their razor-sharp edges.
today, though, it was time to leave the world of grasses and create a brand new world of my own clothimation:
oh , lovely, i was just worrying about you, glad to see it was silly….
it’s been hard these past 2.5 weeks. have spent several hours here and there disassembling an old quilt. ripping, deconstructing, taking it apart – it helped somehow. sure have missed you and my other blogging friends. y’all are the flowers in my garden.
Hi Jeanne,
I have been checking in and found it quiet here, hoping you were doing some much needed restful things, and that your daughter is healing. The garden is beautiful and it is nice to see you.
I wish you a good Mother’s Day, wisdom,
strength and peace.
Jeanne, Thanks so much for your note on my blog last night. I’m glad to know you’ve been keeping your hands busy during this very difficult time. You and your daughter have been in my thoughts. I’m so glad you’re back. Have a good weekend with your daughter and family.
xo, Fran
Am glad you have reached this point. SO glad and also relieved. LOVE LOVE LOVE what you have created. Wish I could enlarge it for closer examination or better yet see it in person…Will be sending you extra mom-love tomorrow.
laney, so nice to be back in touch with you, too. “wisdom, strength, peace” – just the words calm and warm me. thank you.
thanks, fran, for the kind words, warm thoughts, and for the title of that book – am going to order it right now. like i said, i’ve never been able to sketch a house on a hill so that anyone could recognize it, but i see now how helpful sketching is when working with cloth, so i’m gonna’ try it more often. take good care.
acey, took me long enough to get through the grasses, didn’t it??? you do realize that you are one of the most beautiful flowers in my garden cloth world.
